지역의약품안전센터 실시간 참여형 온라인 워크숍 개최
- 한국의약품안전관리원, 그룹토의를 통한 발전방안 모색 등 □ 한국의약품안전관리원(원장 한순영)은 10일 28개 지역의약품안전센터 (이하 지역센터) 소속 안전정보관리자를 대상으로 ‘2020년 지역의약품안전센터 안전정보관리자 실시간 온라인 워크숍’을 개최하였다.
○ 지역센터는 지역사회의 의약품 부작용 보고를 활성화하고 안전한 약물사용을 도모하기 위해 전국약국통합센터(1개소)와 종합병원급 이상 권역센터(26개소), 한약(생약)제제 지역센터(1개소) 등 총 28개 거점 종합병원 및 단체가 지정돼 있다.
○ 의약품안전관리원은 지역센터 안전정보관리자의 역량 강화 및 의약품 안전관리 현안 공유를 위한 정기 워크숍을 실시해 왔으며, 이번에는 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 실시간 온라인으로 운영하였다.
□ 주요 내용은 ▲ 2020년 지역센터 현황 ▲임상정보 전산시스템 활용 ▲지역센터 간 네트워크 강화 방안 모색 ▲ 의약전문가 대상 온라인 교육콘텐츠 개발 등이며, 우수사례 공유 및 그룹 토의를 통해 약물감시 주요 현안과 발전방안에 대한 의견을 나누었다.
○ 특히 이번 워크숍에서는 온라인 화상회의 방식의 그룹 토의(4개 분과)로 현장감을 높였으며, DUR 금기의약품 모니터링 활동, COVID-19 사회적 거리두기 속 약물감시활동 등 분과별 활동 사례공유로 실무에 적용 가능한 개선점을 도출하였다.
□ 한순영 원장은 “코로나19 확산으로 어려운 상황 속에서도 지역 의약품 안전관리 활동은 더욱 강화되어야 한다”며 “보건의료 현장의 약물감시 파수꾼 역량 강화를 위해 새로운 교류의 장을 마련하고 지속적으로 발전시켜나갈 것”이라고 말했다. <붙임1> 지역의약품안전센터 현황

- Live, online group discussions to seek development plans, etc - □ Korea Institute of Drug Safety & Risk Management (KIDS; President Soon Young Han) organized ‘2020 Online Workshop for Safety Information Managers from Regional Pharmacovigilance Centers (RPVCs)’; managers from 28 RPVCs were expected to participate in this workshop.
○ In total, 28 RPVCs – 1 national-wide, central RPVC, 26 regional RPVCs consisting of university hospitals, and 1 RPVC for Korean herbal medicines – are currently designated to facilitate adverse drug event (ADE) reportings and promote safe use of medications.
○ KIDS regularly held workshops to strengthen capabilities of RPVC safety information managers and to share major issues regarding pharmacoviligance activities; this year’s workshop was held online to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
□ Main topics of the online workshop included ▲ Updates on RPVCs activities from 2020 ▲ The use of electronic clinical data warehouse ▲ Explore ways to reinforce RPVC networks ▲ Developing online training contents for healthcare professionals; exemplary cases were shared and group discussions were conducted on major issues regarding RPVCs’ pharmacoviligance activities and center’s development plans.
○ This year’s online workshop was enlivened via active interactions between RPVCs facilitated by real-time, face-to-face group discussions (4 topics); cases such as DUR contraindicated-medication monitoring and pharmacovigilance activities amidst COVID-19 social distancing were shared and areas for improvement during business practice were discussed.
□ President Han stated, “Despite all the difficulties due to COVID-19, RPVCs activities need to be strengthened.” And “RPVCs play a crucial role in regional pharmacovigilance activities; therefore, KIDS will make continuous efforts to provide chances for RPVC interactions.” Status of Regional Pharmacovigilance Centers
